Youth have an important role in building the nation and Indian youth, who constitute a large section of the population, have to understand this, DIG of Maharashtra police and former DIG of CBI (Hyderabad) V.V. Lakshminarayana said while addressing the students of Sri Prakash educational institutions at Payakaraopeta on Monday.
He cited the example of young generation of Japan which made the country strong after it was devastated during the II World War. He loved students and so far had met 1.60 lakh of them, and would like to meet more and interact with them to inspire them to be productive citizens, Mr. Lakshminarayana said.
“Be proud of being an Indian. Many outsiders look up to India for inspiration….. Realise your own potential,” he said. Students of Sri Prakash’s degree and other colleges and schools vied with one another to get Mr. Lakshminarayana’s for autograph after he finished his speech. Earlier he was accorded a traditional welcome by the students and teachers. Senior principal of Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan M.V.V.S. Murthy was present.
