Flash mob focuses on women’s safety
Students of Nalla Narsimha Reddy Group of Institutions (NNRGI) chose a unique method to highlight safety of women. They held a flash mob involving more than 200 students and grabbed the attention of participants from other colleges and their friends during a symposium conducted by the School of Pharmacy.
They derided teasing, harassment, acid attacks and others sending a message that women should be treated properly and taken care of.
The symposium on Pharmacy was inaugurated by Dr. G. Krishna Mohan, Board of Studies for Pharmacy of JNTU Hyderabad.
Dr. Mohan he said there was need to improve the academic standards in Pharma education and requested the students to learn the latest trends in Pharmaceutical field by interacting with experts.
Chairman Sri Nalla Narasimha Reddy, Director Dr. CV Krishna Reddy, Convenor of Pharma symposium, Dr. CH Krishna Mohan, Co-Convenor Prof B Sridhar Reddy and other spoke.
Faculty coordinator Shivaramaiah, Ravi, Alekhya and Sreelakshmi organised the event. Student coordinators were Nandini and Arainda.
Cash prizes were given to winners in events like Oral and Poster Presentation, Short Films and Quiz.
