Mix of innovative ideas, vibrancy
It was a felicitous mix of vibrant minds and youthful thoughts where students showcased their talent in multitude streams.
It was a platform from where they dispelled the notions that this generation believes in mugging and not creative thinking.
The two-day AcuBiz-2014, organised by The Hindu Education Plus and Roots, an international School of Business and Management ignited new thoughts among the participants and competitions reflected the immense talent students have in diverse fields.
It consisted of Business Quiz, Start up Mela, Business Photography and Mock Stock Exchange Event sessions amongst others, and the audience at the end of the day was all praise for the superbly coordinated events.
Students from several colleges enthusiastically participated in the competition to win laurels for them and their colleges.
The Director, Academic Audit Cell, Osmania University, R. Nageswar Rao was the chief guest and he spoke on the simple matters in life, and the philosophies that should be followed by a student.
He was all praise for The Hindu and its guidance to students through its columns. He asked the students to make mistakes and learn from them, but to never repeat them. Guest of honour, Shankar; campus Director C.G.Sastry and Chairman of the college B.P.Padala also spoke.
Winners in the Junior Category Business Quiz were Vivek C., Mohan lal, Sriraj Iyer from Bhavan’s Vivekanada Degree college, Sainikpuri while second prize went to Surya Kiran, Aditya and Gaurav from the same college.
In Business Photography first prize went to Shruti and Shreya Sharma from Roots Junior College, Somajiguda. In Mock Stock Exchange first prize went to Nidhi and Aditi (Kendriya Vidyalaya, AFS, Begumpet).
In Business Plan event first prize went to Able, Harshith, Satyam Jain, Monish; second prize went to Srinath, Sriram, Ayush, Raj Moiz and third prize went to Shreya, Sruthi, Meghna – all from Roots Junior College, Somajiguda).
In Ad Mela event first prize went to Divya from Tapasya Jr.College while second prize went to Kaushik from little Flower Junior College.
In the senior category in Business Quiz winners were D.Yash, Krishna vamshi, Anish Patil
from Jain’s Heritage School while second prize went to Srinath, Abel, Satyam from Roots Junior College, Somajiguda. In Business Photography first prize went to Imtiaz Khan from Roots Degree College.
In Mock Stock Exchange winners were Niklesh, Rahul from Aurora Degree College and runners up were Aman and Karan from Bhavan’s.
In Ad Mela winners were Ayush and Sohail from Roots Degree College while second prize was won by Amaraj, Mohit Chandra and Shahrukhan and third prize went to Nandita, Nikita and Ketna from Roots Degree College.
In Business Plan winner was Saikrishna from Roots Degree College, runners up were C.K Aditya, Suryakiran, C.Sai Vivek, Rahul Rathi, Dheeraj and Kaparthi from Bhavan’s and third prize went to Mrigabhasin of St.Francis and Lavish Agarwaland Subhroneel Chandra from Bhavans.
In Start-up Mela winners were Mita, Nikita, Nanditha, Kethana from St.Francis College; runners up were Sheresha, Myithreyi, Nikita and Kirthi from St.Francis College while third prize went to Gourav, Mayank, Prateeq, Lakshya and Murtuza from Roots Degree College.
