Entrepreneurs told to adopt lateral thinking
Lateral thinking is entrepreneurial spirit, said Pradeep Racherla, Director of the Postgraduate programmes in Woxen School of Business, Hyderabad, on Friday.
Imparting liberal tips on “Strategy of Being an Entrepreneur” to students of V.R. Siddhartha College of Engineering, at a programme organised by the Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC) of the college, Prof. Racherla said entrepreneurial skills were needed not just to start an industry but it was equally important for those associated with the industry.
‘Lateral thinking’ is the mantra, he emphasised, adding that one needed to look at every problem with lateral thinking to be able to solve the problems of the clients.
Desisting from lengthy unexciting speech, he engaged the participating students in an interesting interactive session punctuated with exciting activities.
For instance, he asked a few students among the audience to form a group and communicate without using words. It did not take the students very long to comprehend what he was hinting at.
Training them on how to do things in a different and a better way, he also gave them tips on how one could make ID cards more interesting rather than focussing on the ornamental aspect.
College Principal and Director K. Mohan Rao, Head of the CCE Department K. Ramakrishna, HoD, MBA, L. Anuradha, EDC coordinator B. Naga Prasuna and others were present.
