NCIET : a platform for knowledge sharing
Two-day national conference on Innovations in Engineering and Technology (NCIET) 2013 at Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Krishna District, 92 research papers from over 62 institutions from across the nation were presented. “The convention provided a platform for the researchers to share their research findings, thus paving way for ‘knowledge sharing”, said convener M. Kamaraju.
JNTUK, Kakinada Academics and Planning Director P Uday Bhaskar said such programmes prove to be effective in igniting creative thirst among the student community. He said research conducted on the college should have a relation to the requirements of the industries and furthermore urged the faculty to publish the research papers.
“Enhancement of Mathematical Model in the Stiffness Method of Structural Analysis” by Raghav Kumar, P Kodandaramarao and S R K Reddy, Department of Civil Engineering; “Multi-objective Loadbility Enhancement with Optimal SVC Placement through Risk Index and Model Analysis Approach” by V Ganesh, S Sivanagaraju, K Srikumar and Ch V Suresh, of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; were chosen for were chosen for the ‘Best Paper Award’.
The heads of the departments P Kodandaramarao, M Siva Kumar, A Jawahar Babu, G V S N R V Prasad, M V L N Rajarao, G S Bhaskara Rao, Siva Chintaiah, and Mahesh Babu and teaching and non-teaching staff participated in the ceremony.
Choosing right people

While addressing management students at P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science on “How to excel at Interviews?”, he said that when in doubt they don’t hire, they continue looking according to him.
“We wait for a whole life for this moment – facing interview, yet many things go wrong. Key to successful interview is right type of preparation and keeping a cool mind.
Organizations will look for 6Qs of leadership in candidates for leadership positions such as IQ: Intelligent Quotient – The ability to grasp and comprehend, to deal with complexity, TQ: Technical or Operational Quotient – The ability to make things happen, MQ: Motivational Quotient – The desire to achieve and grow, PQ: People Quotient – The ability to lead oneself and work with others towards common objectives, LQ: Learning Agility Quotient – The ability to learn new skills and behaviours and imbibe knowledge, XQ: eXperience Quotient – The variety of experience and the ability to learn from it.
College Management Department head Rajesh C. Jampala, said that one should pursue career with passion to reach self actualize state.
