Students at their innovative best
It was innovations galore at the national-level working model contest ‘TECHMEET-2K13’, held recently at Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College (CREC), as nearly 500 engineering students from various colleges across the country presented solutions to several issues through the working models.
‘Automatic coconut plucking machine’, ‘Special Robo’, ‘Handloom weavers’ friend’ and other models developed by the students were aimed at making the daily chores easier. Vice-Chancellor of Delhi Technological University P.B. Sharma appreciated the students and opined that development of the nation was possible only through science and engineering.
Prof. Sharma urged students to inculcate discipline and ethics in them to excel in their career. He later unveiled a statue of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya on the college premises .
