Maths wizard’s contribution remembered
To mark National Mathematics Day, AP State Council of Science and Technology’s Regional Science Centre at Bhavanipuram on Friday conducted an interesting programme involving multiplications, tables, squares and magic squares.
Addressing the participants, Regional Officer J.D. Rao pointed to the fact that the day was observed to commemorate the great mathematics wizard Srinivasa Ramanujam and explained how the latter had contributed a great deal for development of mathematics. He said students must embrace mathematics and explore career options related to the subject.
Winners of competitions in essay writing, quiz and poster presentation were also given prizes.
