Children science congress to be held on Dec. 1, 2
Andhra Pradesh State Council of Science and Technology (APCOST) will organise the State-level 21st National Children Science Congress (NCSC) on December 1 and 2. The event is being hosted by Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan here. About 400 child scientists, guide teachers, district coordinators, and district academic coordinators from 13 districts are expected to participate in the programme. CBI former joint director K. Lakshminarayana will attend it as chief guest for the closing ceremony.
At the district level, several projects were prepared by the child scientists and presented on the theme ‘Energy: explore, harness and conserve’ for a slot at the State-level event. National-level event is scheduled to be held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, from December 27 to 31.
The inaugural function would be held in Sri Prakash School, Rajahmundry campus. Sudhakar C. Agarkar, former Scientist of Homi-Bhabha Centre for Science Education will inaugurate the NCSC. Y. Nagesh Kumar, member secretary, APCOST, Hyderabad, will preside over it.
