Seminar on management trends held
Kakaraparti Bhavanarayana College organised a seminar on 21 st century trends in management education at the college campus on Saturday. Acharya Nagarjuna University former Vice-Chancelor P. Balamohan Das, MBA director Y. Narasimha Rao and college PG courses director K. R Satyanarayana and senior lecturer Ramanamurthy addressed the students. Dr. Balamohan Das said that the demand for management courses picked up due to globalisation.
‘MEET THE EXECUTIVE’ PROGRAMME HELD
The KBN PG College business administration department also organised ‘Meet the Executive’ programme. Andhra Bank Vijayawada zone Deputy General Manager G. Ravikumar interacted with students. He informed them that Indian banking system was robust and playing a pivotal role in strengthening of the economy.

MVR College of Engineering and Technology organised a felicitation function for the students and lecturers who won excellence awards at Indo Global Education Summit 2013, jointly organised by State government and Indus Foundation at Hyderabad, here on Tuesday. College Chairman Muttavarapu Srinvasa Babu said that the college bagged four awards –eminent educationist, educational excelence, teaching excellence and academic excellence.
SEMINAR ON CYBER FORENSICS
A one-day National Seminar on “Cyber Forensics” was organised by the Department of CSE of V.R.Siddhartha Engineering College (VRSEC) on Saturday. The seminar was organised to give researchers and faculty members an insight into the recent topics focusing on cyber crimes, cyber law and cyber forensics. The keynote address was delivered by M. Krishna Assistant Government Examiner, Computer Forensics Division. He pointed out that the main reason for the spurt in the cyber crime was due to lack of awareness. Director of VRSEC Dr. K Mohana Rao garu, Principal G. Sambasiva Rao and HoD of CSE V. Srinivasa Rao also spoke.
JESUITS CONFERENCE HELD
Jesuits and their staff (lay collaborators) working in Jesuit Institutes from different parts of Andhra Pradesh attended a one-day conference on “Lay-Collaborationin Loyola Institutes and Works” that was held at Andhra Loyola College on Saturday. The conference was held on the occasion of the Bi-Centenary Celebrations of the Restoration of the Society of Loyola (1814-2014), which was restored on August 7, 1814 after its suppression on July 21, 1773. The conference consisted of five sessions to discuss the contribution of Jesuits (Loyola Fathers) in various fields such as education, social justice, culture, and literature. Fr. PothiReddy Antony Reddy, the Provincial of Andhra Jesuit Province, was the Chief Guest of the conference, while Fr. D.Ravi Sekhar presided over it. Principal of Andhra Loyola College Fr. G.A.P. Kishore and others were present.
AWARD FOR COLLEGE
Gudlavalleru Engineering College, Gudlavalleru village, Krishna District, has been selected by A.P. section of Indian Society for Technical Education for “Srinidhi Institute of Science & Technology Award for Best Engineering College for overall performance” for the year 2013. The award will be presented on November 30 at ISTE AP Section Annual Convention and Awards Function to be held in GITAM University, Hyderabad Campus.
