Differently-abled students come out with flying colours
Differently-abled students bagged the first prizes in the essay writing and devotional songs competition organised by Helen Keller High School for the Deaf and Rehabilitation Centre, its director, P. Dowlath Khan, said.
J. Sireesha, an Intermediate first year student in Government Junior College here bagged the first prize and P. Venkataiah, Intermediate second year student in Pragathi Junior College at Mydukur secured the second prize in the seniors category in essay writing on the topic “Helen Keller and Louis Braille, messiahs of the disabled” held in the Municipal Corporation High School here.
In the juniors category, U. Lakshmi Devi of SSC and J. Sasikala of class seven, both Ramakrishna High School students, bagged the first and second prizes respectively.
In the devotional songs competition, K. Charith and P. Obulesu, both students of Al-Shifa School of Cognition here, secured the first and second places respectively, Mr. Khan said in a statement.
