Statistics lab inaugurated
Andhra University administration is contemplating to strengthen infrastructure and provide latest technologies to make its departments self sufficient, Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju said while inaugurating the Rs.35-lakh Prof. K. Nagabhushanam Statistics Laboratory in the Department of Statistics on Wednesday.
Sophisticated computer laboratories would be developed in all the departments for effective and efficient teaching and research, he said. The Vice-Chancellor congratulated Coordinator of UGC-DRS SAP K. Srinivasa Rao and other faculty members of the department for establishing and naming the advanced statistical laboratory after the founder professor and Head of the Department.
The laboratory was funded by the UGC under its DRS special assistance programme and has 40 computer systems.
